Default EPC light and no power

Got and EPC light twice today. Car had no power... none, zero, zip, nada. Ran fine and no EPC light after a key off, count to 5, restart.

VWTool reports error P1711 (Throttle Actuation Pot. Signal 2)

Proabably a bad throttle pedal gizmo. Anybody else had this?

Default

Sorry to hear that - could be the throttle body itself that is bad.

Default it happened to mine 6mo ago...

EPC light came on...no power none.
It took a little while for my mechanic to figure out but he replaced potentiometer(sp?) and no problem ever since...try that don.

Default Sounds like the feedback pot on your throttle body is gone. The ECU can't tell

how far open the throttle really is. Should be easy to fix though.
