Default EPC light, throttle body boot, difficult to turn over. My car has diarrhea!

Well, I hope somebody out there has had similar experiences.

I just got my car back from the dealer after the 16,000 mile maintenance was done. Before I turned my vehicle in to the dealer, I had noticed a problem: The EPC light went on a few times during the week before I turned it in. My check engine light had been on, constant yellow, for about 3 months previous. The dealer was unable to locate any problems, but since I got it back, I've been noticing even bigger problems.

First of all, the car takes longer to turn over, like a solid 4 or 5 seconds at times, whereas before it would turn over within 1 and 1/2 seconds. Secondly, the EPC light has been going off even more than before. When it goes off, I kill the engine and restart and it disappears.

Even when the EPC light is not on, the car is just not performing normal. It seems sluggish and a bit thin on power. Especially first and second gear.

At one point, my engine wouldn't start for about 20 minutes. I suppose it may have been flooded, but that's fairly unusual in newer cars.

Any ideas? Does this sound like the infamous throttle body boot problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds much more serious than the TBB. I'd have it towed to the dealer.

Default The starting problem sounds similar to what my wife had in her VW Beetle Turbo.

A faulty temperature sensor was replaced and that cleared up the problem.
