I'd start by checking the notoriously weak f-hose (see link) and the fuse for the secondary air injection pump (S234).

Then go on to check the other vacuum hoses for leaks running between EVAP canister (aka ACF canister); 'Non-Return Valves #1 and #2 (the two green ones on the passenger side of the Y-pipe air distributor)); and 'EVAP canister purge regulator valve -N80'.

Using your Vag-Com scanner you can run an output test of the EVAP canister purge regulator valve -N80'; Secondary Air Injection (AIR) solenoid valve -N112; and Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump relay -J299. They are the 1st-3rd output tests on a vehicle with an automatic...you should hear or feel them clicking).

Also, make sure you have a good solid connection from the Pressure Limiting Valve to the Y-pipe air distributor (make sure the o-ring is there and in good shape)...not specific to those codes, but it does throw a few random errors when it doesn't have a good connection.

Please tell me you have an automatic transmission. If you have a manual gearbox, then the 17831 and 17819 are weird codes since only vehicles with automatic transmission are equipped with a secondary air injection system...in which case, your car is miscoded.<ul><li><a href="http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi/?imageID=3339&amp;html=viewimage.html">http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi/?imageID=3339&amp;html=viewimage.html</a</li></ul>
