ESP turns itself off and STAYS off???
My ESP light came on by itself (meaning the ESP was OFF) and stayed on until the ca was shut-off. I started the car and it was gone as it should but it came back later.
It was raining so it really made em feel nervous knowing that I did not have the ESP function available if needed.
Has anybody experienced this?

Yup, that's probably the case. You need to VAG it and see what codes you are throwing.
Is the ABS light or CEL light on?
That might indicate a MAF problem.
