Default Everytime I turn the igition on. :P

but seriously, no, not during normal driving with my S4.
My old '97 A4 used to do that. The CEL would come on and stay on for 1 drive, 1 day, 1 week, who knows, but would eventually go off. I would get a shop to reset it if it stayed on for a while. It never led to anything. BTW, I bought that car used, and didn't know the full history as to what led to that happening.

Default In my A4...

Yes. I was driving down the road and lost almost all power (couldnt accelerate) abd the engine light came on. I pulled over and tried reving the engine to see if i could accelerate it in nuetral. It was fine. So i started to drive off. Within about 2 miles everything was back to normal. Engine light went off. I brought it in to service to have them check the computer for error codes and said it looked like there might have been some air in the fuel lines or something. That was it.

Yes there are two kinds, a soft code that will clear itself over time and a hard one that doesn't
