I've been experiencing exessive exhaust fumes when I start-up the car lately. The smell is really strong and I see a plume of smoke coming from my tailpipes. But it doesn't continue after I start driving.
I remember this sometimes used to happen on my dad's '94 twin-turbo RX-7 too.
Is this typical of twin-turbo cars?<p>2000 Silver S4

cloud-white = water
blue-white = oil
black = gas (mixture too rich)
Probably black smoke if it smells really bad. The others don't smell any worse than normal exhaust fumes (cough cough)
But if it is blue white smoke, oil is getting into the cylinders. Could be from leaking crankcase ventilation, or leaking valve guides.
Whatever the case, you should have it checked.
