OK, what I had thought. How close is that tone to the dual? completely different?

The 3" has NO tone. SuperDual = killer tone, not quite as raspy as ASP or AWE Twin2

Default Sorry. Swank4 took a vid/sound clip of some drive-bys when I finished installing...

maybe he can post?
If you've heard the Twin2 or ASP, but don't want quite that "bright" a sound, but you do want to HEAR the exhaust, go with the SuperDual. Best I can discribe the sound is smooth, deep tone, mellow with presence around town, and the WOT sound is fantastic.
If you've heard a Borla the volume is a smidgen lower during normal driving, otherwise comparable. SuperDual isn't the cheapest for sure, so if you're still on K03s and not interested in spending a G note, Borla is a great choice too (just a little too loud for my taste). Keep in mind downpipes will play a big part in the sound too. Stocks would make a VM1 sound mellow compared to the same with ASPs. My LaBrees added a little sound to the 3" over Piggies.

Default You really should "micro" the Super-Vs on the Yackrack...

and on that note, I just ordered a new Yeti 575. First new MTB since the POS '99 FSR-XC. Very stoked.

Default The ASP fit could be better at the cross over

I think they need to add a hanger at the diff mount to keep it from rubbing. I'm having issues. I like it otherwise.

Default FYI, I heard his Miltek Super Dual and it sounds great, almost as good as...

MY BORLA.

Default I like mine too - although I thought the sound was actually a tad loud at first, but it quieted down

after a thousand miles or so, now it's just right.

Cool beans. those are cool bikes. Yeah, I debated "micro-ing" the V's,
