Exhaust question-Is the Nuespeed exhaust built by Borla? Does it sound as good as Milltek?

...but they are not going to be using Borla in the near future. Not sure when their "new" exhaust will be available, nor do I know who the actual manufacturer is.

... in a good way. The Borla has been accused of "droaning" at 2K-2800 RPM which mine did for the first two weeks until it seasoned. It does not do it after that(plus I have found the proper installation on both of these makes a substantial sound difference if not done correctly ie the Borla is louder if it is not fully compressed - go figure).
I think the Borla is by far the better as far as build quality. The seals/clamps are laser cut and fit perfectly. The tips leave a little to be desired(I removed my inner tips and like this much better, also seemed to quieten the exaust somewhat - they do tend to yellow when I drive it hard for extended periods - cleans off with metal polish).
The Milltek/Forge is nice, quiet and has better tips. The build quality leaves a little to be desired - the welds look like something out of a highschool shop class. The clamps that come with it are weak and do not properly seal IMO. I replaced them with double clamp steel truck units and a little exaust putty/sealer. I think it is finally leak-free but time will tell. No such problem on the Borla.
Price and sound lead me to the Borla, also carries the Borla "million mile warranty." I think it sounds better but is louder at full throttle.
FWIW
