Default extended warranty

Hi!

is it worth it to look for extended warranties once the 4yr/50Kmiles standard warranty on the S4 runs out?
have you guys experienced any major problems with your cars after 50K miles?

Well, I checked with my dealer and basically when it came to looking at the list of what is NOT covered, it made no sense at all. I couldnt even think of anything that would go bad that was not on that list! So I wouldn't do it because you'll be paying for things even with the warranty.

As for my car, I have 55,000 miles on it and never have had one thing replaced. And the funny thing is, I actually drove it pretty hard in canyons for about 5,000 of those miles. The key was to idle a few minutes to let the turbos cool and I also was nice to my clutch. Anyway, I dont want to make your decision, but I didnt buy it.

Did your engine go? Mine did when the pump seized. I had the turbos and the Heads replaced and the car is not the same. I need help on finding out what to do because the dealer is baffled. We changed the clutch the Mass air sensor and still not power and no fault codes.

A water pump does not justify $1000 per year of warranty, buy the damn pump

NO!..if you all read the fine print of what it does NOT cover, you'd be smart to not get it

Yeah but if the pump goes you could be out of an engine. I had a brand new pump fail on me.

Default Or your 1st gear synchro as in my case.

Unfortunately ext. warranty did not cover because of the damn 30 day waiting period.
