Default Cool. SEL scaling is nice but only when the ECU controls everything...not Homebrew.

here are some race gas logs from my car:

Just under 23 PSI spike tapering to ~20.5 by redline, a bit of timing advance after ECU reset by unplugging...

Just over 23 PSI spike tapering to ~21 PSI by redline, no timing advance and stored CFs from not resetting ECU....

Most recent race gas log, too much timing advance, similar boost curve....

I will fill up with race gas again and play around sometime soon, still need to optimize that setup.

Default I would think the richer mix and added timing on the second run are

counteracting one another and leaving you where you were before. You started with a leaner, faster burning mixture, which required less timing advance. For the second run the mixture was richer, burning slower, so timing is advanced slightly. The end result is you have the peak pressure happening at the same crank angle.

There should be no question that a mixture around 12.5-13:1 is going to release the most energy. Whether or not the operating conditions in this engine can support that A/F ratio is a different matter. But going richer than 12.5 is just adding gas to act as a coolant, not provide any additional power.

So what is your AFR? I've been waiting to see you post since installing wideband....

It initially dips down to 11.1 @ 3500 rpm and then climbs to 12.0 @ 6500 rpm.

Default Absolutely...

But at 9.3:1cr at over 20psi I think we need that extra in-cylinder cooling.

Default No disagreement from me. I've been messing

with the water injection some lately, seeing how much fuel I can pull out without seeing any adverse affects. The baseline software runs a lambda from 0.76 up to 0.80, with the WI I've been able to lean that out to 0.82 to 0.84, and I have not yet seen any differences in the logged data. The car is faster though with the leaner mixture.

Default That's how APR's OTS stage 3 software is now? Wow, similar to my curve in terms of leaning out.

This was last wideband log I did before it started reading all weird, -21.5% primary on this log but since then went to -20.5%:
