Default Falken Azenis ST-115 Tire Size

I've decided on this tire, and was wondering what size I should use. I'll be using stock Avus 7.5 x 17 inch rims. I'd like to go a bit wider if possible (235/40/17 or 245/40/17). I have stock suspension now and don't want to roll fenders or use spacers. I am considering STaSIS Street Sport Coilovers for this spring or summer and want these tires to have no rubbing issues. Best thing to do?

Default If you're concerned at all with rubbing, stay with 225/45/17.

Here's a list of tire sizes and acceptable rim width measurements (specifically for the ST-115)

225/45/17 - 7"-8.5"
235/40/17 - 8"-9.5"
235/45/17 - 7.5"-9"
245/40/17 - 8"-9.5"

I think you can get by with 235's. Check tire calculator conversions on the internet.

Default Great! Thanks.

I guess I'll be going with 225/45/17 or 235/45/17

I wonder if the 235's would just have more sidewall flex though?

Default the 235/45/17 would be a little taller..

Sidewall will be 0.2" taller. Your speedometer will read 1.4% too slow.. just under 1 mph difference at 60 mph.

i have these tires in 225/45/17 on my OEM 17s, are run really narrow. I'd go with 235s.
