Default Filled out complaint w/ NHTSA and contacted A of A...

Just filled out a report online with the NHTSA regarding the Blowtenza failure I experienced. Even thought the dealer replaced the tire under warranty I contacted Audi of America.

A o A mentioned it was important that anyone who experiences a tire failure contact them directly because the dealership is not required to do so.

They also mentioned they are taking all tire issues very seriously...only time will tell how seriously...

Bottom line...make sure you contact A o A if you have experienced a failure in the past, or you experience one in the future regardless if your dealer replaces the tire or not.

Default The question is not Audi's warranty vs. Bridgestone's but this...

Did Audi choose poorly when it came to buying shoes for the S4? Are the Bridgestones ill suited to a car with the performance and girth of the S4? I say yes to both. At the time I had problems with my RE 040's, both Audi and Bridgestone told me to go hang. Now Audi has called me... Would I have coughed up $1100 for tires (before the first oil change!) it I thougt they were decent rubber?

I believe Audi is realizing they chose poorly, and are learning from the current cruxifiction of Ford in the media. I hope it doesn't take people's deaths for them to act.
