since i just got a retal car to get my car fixed from acident. I also have been working on other projects i didn;t had time to do it.
fixed my oil leak from the pass side turbo, what a PITA, had to break and bend 3x 17mm wrenchs from HF. still have a small oil leak from the oil cooler, soon to be fixed.
but my remote is working so well now that with my car in the garage i was soo far way that i could not even hear my horn when panic went off.
i would say in a open parking lot a good 100 yards is possible.

Like many people said before, the problem is the length of the antenna and not the remote itself. So find the antenna, that is located on the passenger side rear bumper under the car, by the gas tank door. If you look under the car you will see a black plastic tube(about 1/4 Diameter) going from the trunk to the bumper claw(this claw is just like the one on the front bumper) that holds the bumper.
You can take the bumper off if you want and then remove the antenna(that is inside that plastic tube) but a shortcut is to just pull hard on the plastic tube/antenna, but make SURE you are only pulling/forcing the side that goes into the claw and not the side that goes into the bumper. When you have the plastic tube in your hand, strip the end of plastic tube, and also strip the clear wire(the antenna), just enough to attach a longer wirer on the end. The wire is super thin, i would say about 26 gauge, so be careful. Now you just have to extent the antenna, for that use another/new wire. I used 5 feet of "wire wrap" wire, also very thin. Wire wrapped it(new wire) to the end of antenna, you can soldered it if you want. Hide the extra wire along the bumper but not on the bumper support made(aluminum), i just used a glue gun and attached the wire to the bumper itself.
Sorry that was very poorly written, hope this helps a little mote. I might do a tech write up later with pics.
