Ever experienced the symptom of the brakes locking up to the point that the car is VERY hard to even move and once they lock up it takes awhile (almost a day) before the pressure will come back down so i can even move the car. And once i have waited until the pressure has backed down and start the car to move it, within 10 seconds or so it will lock up all over again!
. This is happening to mine and ive STFA and cannot find anything that helps me on this. I would atleast like to disconnect the abs so i can drive/move the car for now or atleast so i can take it to a shop to have it fixed. By the way, I have the abs unit (bosch 5.0 I believe) with the brain that is under the rear seat. The part that is attached to the hydraulic pump only contains the solenoids so I dont think replacing it will help. Some input is greatly appreciated.

I think you've got it spot on. Try disconnecting the 5.0 unit and see how it behaves. Unfortunately you cannot rebuild the 5.0 units, just the 5.1 units.

For future reference I have come upon shops that will repair the 5.0 for bmw's, which I believe is the identical control. Although I may be mistaken about compatibility.
