Finally, got to try out the Dunlop Sport M2's today in the snow.

All I can say is I am very impressed with quattro + snow tires. Last winter I did not have snow tires, so did not drive the car very often in the snow (felt like I was driving a car on snowboards, damn RE040s!). This year's another story, I am visiting in Rochester NY and theres a 'mini' snow storm going on, and the roads are covered with snow. Braking and acceleration are very impressive, along with the lateral "grip"? (can I use that when talking about snow?! ;-) The true sign of quattro really shines when you go around a corner and just give it gas, goes right where it is pointed! The only downside of this is I am not sure how well the car is going to handle the wonders of ice chunks/hardend slush since its lowered... my wheel wells were definetly chock full of snow, I don't really see this causing a problem, though on any type of bumps all you hear is the crunching of ice/snow... Just an annoyance I guess! And for you folks who don't get snow, you don't know what you're missing! Powerslidding is quite fun, I think it will become a 'winter hobby' ;-)
