I also have one of those, but at least on my Corvette, the suction cup thing doesn't adequetely secure it, so that it doesn't fall off! Do you have a special trick for making sure it stays where you want it?
Thanx!

I would need to be able to pop the vent out and get down in there with a drill or dremel to cut a hole through the ducting into the area below the dash. Even if I could cut the hole, since the connector on the power cord is kinda bulky, it would also have to be fed down the vent and through the hole...kinda tricky.
I may still re-examine this option sometime...if you have any suggestions, I'd like to hear them.

The unit sits in a removable cradle that allows it to pivot up/down and left/right. The cradle snaps into an oval shaped base that's stuck to the dash with double-sided adhesive.
It came with 2 adhesive pads, a 'temporary' and a permanent. The temporary was a very tacky, soft rubber, but it would fall off the dash under acceleration, so I ended up using the permanent adhesive pad. You can get additional bases for other cars.

I guess I didn't say it correctly.
What I should have said was that the "Perminent Mounting Disk" didn't hold it on perminently for me. So that's all you're using and so far, no probs? Cool!
