Had a scorpion system on my 2.8 30V that I took off after only a month. The resonator was the size of a Hawaiian Punch can and talk about cabin resonance!! You couldn't have a converstion while doing anything but neutral throttle input. I would love to hear how this sounds!

Actually I put the stock exhaust back on. The scorpion improved the upper revs but at the sacrifice of ALOT of low end torque, and the resonance issue. If I did more than a couple of track events a year I might of gone for a Stebro exhaust. I hear they are a nice balance of sound/performance. I hope the Scorpion or MTM exhaust will be rather quiet. I had an HKS system on my old 300ZX TT and it just added a little bass to the exhaust note, hardly noticeable over stock, but with noticeable performance gains. That would be ideal for my future S4, I don't need to alert the entire county that I have the pedal to the floor

Kevin,
From speaking with TAP and Hoppen, they have both intimated that neither exhaust is "too loud." I spoke with a friend in Europe with the Skorpian exhaust on his S4, and he thought that the performance gain is noticeable, and the car has a much better sound to it. My modified 3000GT VR-4 had an HKS exhaust as well, and there was both a noticeable sound increase and performance gain. I personally do not mind a louder car. In fact, I detest how super quiet the S4's exhaust is. I would love for the exhaust to be as reasonant as a few of my friend's M3s - who have exhaust ranging from B&B TriFlows to Remus.
