Default First thoughts: stasis tracksports 700/800 install and ride

well install was very fast, used my friends lift, disconnected the upper control arms, took out those pesky plastic plugs, unbolted and popped out the front shocks. rear shocks were simple, 4 top bolts, upper and lower shock bolts. BAM shocks out.

I called up stasis and set the rebound to the specs they recomended with the 700/800 springs. counterclockwise all the way out and then 1/4 to 1/2 turn in. I did 1/2 turn from full rebound dampening which is counterclockwise all the way. the rears I was told to go from right to left all the way( clockwise) till it wouldnt turn, and then 3 full sweeps from left to right(counter clockwise) and setting the rebound was done. I then drilled the holes for the front reb adjusters and after putting the shock in for test alignment of the hole i had to angle the hole a bit more and was done. the rears i cut a V into the area were the top spring perch bolts to the shock mount for the car and test fitted it. I then got an air powered angle grinder and sut the slots into the top shock mount and test aligned it with the shock in the mount and after some minor adjustments everything was cut and setup

the spring height was already setup from brian rists projektgt25r ride, the one rear spring perch lock was loose and i had to turn it in a bit to get the lock screw to hold it in place.

I reassembled everything and torqued the wheel nuts and test drove it.it took me about 2-3 hours with a very little amount of help.

My car now feels like my 300zx twin turbo did on "sport" mode.(switch for rebound adjustment, sport and touring). i purposely went over a few rough parts of road to feel it out, theres a slight pogo but that pogo is from thedips in the road other then that the car performed pretty damn well and im very satisfied.

I measured all around the car and its 25 1/2 on both front left and right(drove to a flat parking lot and measured 2 times in different spots in the lot)

the rears were right 25 1/2 and one 1/16th

the left was 25 1/2 minus 1/16th

sorry dont know what those 16ths make the measurement. so there off 1/4 " but i did not measure with me in the car yet. i will do that at the g2g tonight.

ill have pics later tonight

Default Hmmm, I thought that full tight was counterclockwise on fronts and rears.

Wonder why they have them "loose" on the rear?

Default Either way, the dips in the road here are so bad...

I don't think it matters what we do to our suspension settings. I would love it if he drove on the 24 East between MLK & Broadway, or the 13 South, or any of the other roads I'm constantly screaming on every day. These roads are teh suck!

Just look at the Audi phallus protruding from her groin area. That'll get ya back on track.

Default You know that's 4 and not 6 right? I don't think stg IV is available anymore.

MTM's old stg IV is bigger injectors, turbos, stock maf, boost ~16 psi.
