How about on dry surfaces? Any negative consequences?

Default Likely no...but you would also lose the Electronic Brake Distribution function...

which is very beneficial on dry pavement. This function overrides the need for proper static brake bias. I would bet your bias would be F'd up...especially with aftermarket brakes.

Default EBD is good on snow too, for kicks try this:

find a safe area, make a turn at 20-30 mph in neutral and apply the brakes, not quite enough to kick in abs. turn off the car. Rear wheels should lock and the car spins.

I'll try to remember to do it again this winter to confirm.

2000 - no esp.

yeah but I just got those extras this summer--Ill switch when they wear out
