Default To fix my horizontal lines going out on center display-- Now getting cluster with 20k less miles...

Can it be cranked up by the dealership? Possibly somewhere else besides the dealership? It has 38k miles now, and my car has 58k.

Default A knowledgeable dealership can re-burn the mileage. You HAVE to. You do not want an inaccurate

mileage clause on your title.

Default only 1 time and up to a certain point... 1000 miles I believe, after that it's locked

Your cluster most likely has more that 1000 miles so your stuck with it as is, or have to buy a new one to get the actual miles....

you can just slap it in and have you title branded to "actual miles unkown" but this will hurt resale.

I have heard from multiple sources that there are ways around this...but have no proof to confirm.

Default don't know for sure, my info was based on when I bought a euro cluster for my 337, the instructions

stated that to instal and set a VW/Audi Cluster, I needed a dealer 1551/1552/5051 (VAG-COM in my case) to burn the milage, it had to be done within 1000 miles of installation (it was new) and that the value had to be entered in Kilometers since the cluster really "thinks" in Kilo's and converts to miles... I'll try and dig up the instruction sheet....

Default Got this from the Ross-Tech website

Q: Can I use VAG-COM to roll back my electronic odometer?
A: No. A brand new instrument cluster (with less than 100 km on it) can be rolled forward, one time only. Of course, this assumes that the instrument cluster is "diagnostics capable". Not all instrument clusters with electronic odometers are.
