it's special because it initiates different current spikes and waveforms to...
de-junkify the batry's plates and so forth. You gotta buy one to read the techie literature that's included.
Also, if it's only for P-Cars, then mine's been puking for a long time. Been using on everything but P-car

I do have a Porsche trickle charger...

But it is in my Porsche in Europe, not my Audi. :-p
It is also the old style charger and not the one you have. But I'm happy with it.
However, don't you have an AGM battery? The charger you got is only for lead acid batteries. The voltage needs to be slightly higher on an AGM battery. That charger will not maintain an AGM battery at full-charge and it will not be able to charge a completely dead AGM battery.
The charger I got is specifically designed for AGM batteries. It has a switch so that it will charge both AGM and lead acid batteries. I also have a cable to allow me to connect it to the cigarette lighter plug.

p.s. almost missed your message. I don't check AW that often anymore.<ul><li><a href="http://www.accumate.com/pro/12v-7a-odyssey.htm">AccuMate PRO 12V 7A-S Odyssey</a></li></ul>

And congrat's on your new tyres.
Winterforce aren't the best winter tyre but they are a decent winter tyre. And there definitely are big advantages to running winter tyres on smaller rims. Prices of tyres in the smaller sizes are always so much cheaper.
People often think that studs are for places that snow a lot. In fact, they are ideal for places that get a lot of freezing rain. I really like studs. The only drawback is noise. My Hakka 2's were quite quiet. My Hakka 4's area damned noisy. I'll deal with it. :-)
I know you don't care if studs are legal in Virginia but they are.
