Default FK Coilover verdict?

My local shop is pushing these coilovers on me.

Good price, but I've heard the issue with spring rates that are way to weak.

Can you get them custom ordered with stiffer rates now?

More info appreciated from anyone. Don't want to spend the money, then be disappointed and want to take them off.

Thanks

Default Don't want to spend $3k for coilovers...more

Looking for something in H&R range of performance spring rates...for less...FK supposed to have that, but last posts I saw claim rear spring rate less than stock.

Achtuning was supposedly ordering different rates, and others say you can customer order rates..that is what I am inquiring about if they have several options.

Default I recommend the Street Sport kit but they do not exchange springs with this kit. only the Track and

Motorsport kits:

"These springs only apply to our Motor Sport and Track Sport suspension products."

Default No spring exchange on Street kit

The street kit is an off the shelf Koni coilover kit, spec'd for the Audi A4 V6, not the S4. In our opinion it's too soft for the S4. I'd suggest looking elsewhere, like springs/shocks if this is your targeted price range.

The Stasis track sport and Motorsport kits are leaps and bounds better than anything else out there, if that's in your budget.

Default i woudnt trust a tuner that claims to have made a product for your car...

then it turns out the damn spring rates are lower than STOCK?! R&D? year right, just shelf parts pieced together IMO.

Do it once, do it right, get stasis.

Default I'm not installing them, local show with experience and can do corner balancing...more..

Just thought it was humurous, knowing what you are doing and having to cut away portions of the car doesn't seem to have any relation.

According to info, you have to partial disassemble to make adjustment...true?
