Default Followup: Best way to 'patch' the stock box?

What's the best way to plug the darintake and you guys still consider the data valid?

The fix would need to be permanent b/c I'm looking to do long term testing as well so it needs to be water/heat proof. The hole will need to be cut out again when testing is complete.

Ideas?

Default Duct tape?

A fiberglass patch is probably your best bet, then just cut it back out when done.

Default Duct tape?

Clean both sides of the airbox and put tape on each side. It'll hold up. And you can peel it off when you are done testing.

Out of curiosity, what are you testing and why?

"weld" a piece of plastic back on. But in your case i would get another airbox.

Default We did all the testing, the hole will give you +5gs without any filter mods

and depending on the filter you may see further gains.

Not sure why you would rehash this, several of us, tested this to death

Default I have an insane amount of logs from the past few months with the darintake...

and I'm wondering what kind of long/short term data I will get from running an unmodded box. I'm interested to see idle/max g's, air/fuel, hp/torque gains, or practically anything else I can think of.

I guess I'm just looking to start a new project.

Default not really looking for just hp/torque gains..

I'm more interested in idle/max g's and wideband/narrowband air/fuel ratios at idle, part and full throttle.
