most of you already know when driving in tip mode from a standstill to approx 10mph the tranny will automatically shift from first to second gear. from what i've read in the past- when you tap on the downshift button (-) *twice* and step on the throttle >50% it will downshift back to first until it skims redline and shift into second.
out of curiosity i wondered whether it would do the same thing if i tapped on the downshift button *once* and step on the throttle >50%. it works! no longer have to double tap.
i wonder if they chaged it for the 01's? or was it always like this?

and +50% stuff. If you want to downshift, hold the tip down, floor it and it immediately downshifts and accelerates away.
