Bought a used 2001 S4 Sedan Tip six months ago. Last week, took the car to shop for repair and found out it already had K04s installed with stock fueling (was surprised as hell). So decided to upgrade to GIAC Stage 3 minus software, since ECU was already chipped with GIAC stage 1. Also, had the shop installed N75 and 5 bar FPR. I still have stock downpipes, haven't gutted yet, no intake or exhaust either. Pretty much a stage 3- ecu and k04s with n75 and 5bar and stock fueling. Recoded my trans to 00032 yesterday, haven't done tip chip yet. Car still runs a little slow than expected. I timed it and got ~5 - 5.5 secs 0-60. So what should be my next important upgrade as far as performance. I am aiming at ~4.5 secs. Yeah yeah, I have a tip so please don't say get a manual. Thanks for helping out AW members!

Do the fueling, it makes all the difference. I was at stage 3- for a year, finished the job last week and I now wished I had done it all at once. I posted a longer write-up last week, scroll down a bit.

I might not be able to do a full Stage 3 at the moment due to funding, but was wondering what my next performance mod should be to achieve a faster 0-60 time..thanks.

Also with the k04 have you done anything to the transmission for it to handle the extra power?

Fueling and tune will run you $2500 or less, and provides the most HP for your dollar. On a shoestring budget you can gut the pre cats for a little extra oomph. The only free mods that I can think of that will improve drag times include cutting weight (remove spare and tools, go for a jog and eat salad) and letting a little air out of your tires, but that will cost you money in the long run.
