2. I don't need a lecture and neither does any one else in the S4 forum.
3. Don't kidd yourself, you paid for all the warranty and service work on your car. What you think they do it to lose money, hah!
4. The hell if I'm gunna tell my dear about my mods, so he can look to kill my warranty. Plus, if my turbos go who says it was the chip or exhaust? If my car legitimately has trouble because of me, I'll take the blame and open up the wallet. Other wise you bet it gunna be on Audi's dime, I PAID FOR IT!

So why don't you keep your lecture for your friend's and family next time, K.

Or, "we are voiding your powertrain warranty because you tracked your car"

Or "we are voiding your warranty because we THINK you chipped it"

Or you bought a car from and Audi dealer and there was already a chip in it....What do you do then?

I've heard much better things about Lexus&Acura warranty and services.
And what are you going to say to the guys out there that launch there cars at 3k+....If it's not modded, it's ok to try to get a new tranny underwarranty when it's blantently abuse? Who can prove what?

Don't lecture me...and do some research before generalizing!

BTW, the only warranty parts that I've had replaced are the crappy electronics that Audi equips us with!

brought his S4 in for an electrical problem under warranty. Basically, his 01 S4 had been in and out of the shop 4 times for an intermittent electrical problem. Basically the car would randomly shut-down (short our).

He had been tracking the car, and the service manager had noticed the Shroth Rally4 harnesses....and asked him, "Do you race?". He said that he tracked the car occasionally. He then told him "the manual speicifically states...(paraphrase)...no racing...void your warranty"

His entire powertrain was voided b/c he left his harnesses in the car....And it was an electrical failure not a powertrain problem.

Now there are lawyers involved.
Is that specific enough?
