the point is to find the weakest link, and fix that for high hp applications.
in this case, its the rods

2 years ago had a 1.8t running 25 psi on C16. Rod collapsed. Even broke the starter.
At the tear-down the piston tops, ring lands, plugs and valves looked perfect. Just too much power.

True, but if you are willing to run 25 psi on C16 you would have to be pretty
dense to think there is no risk.
