Default Fu!!$@ck New Jersey. They almost stole my car in broad daylight

It took them probably less than 30 secs to punch the hole in the driver side door and rip the ignition out. The only reason why they didn't drive away was because I saw them and called 911 (and they saw me). And by the way, f@#$ck 911 and police, too, they are a bunch of idiots. I reported the theft in progress and they weren't able to locate me in time and the thieves just fled.

Did you get a visual id and file a report? Glad they failed, man, but sorry about the damage...

Default WOAH! you're probably the only and first person to witness the actual culprits in progress...

what'd they look like? what was their getaway car? What part of NJ? Glad they didn't get away with the car, it could've been worse. Sorry to hear about this incident dude

Default Not to be an *** but did you run out after them? I work in NJ also

I fear this everyday when I park my car. But if I saw some one breaking into my car I would have someone call the po po and run out. Even if you can not get the person or person's involved you could maybe get a plate number. Just my .02

Default I did see them before they did it.

I watched the hole thing through the store window. They were probably 4-5 black guys (probably early twenties, if not juveniles, the type that I would pull over by default if I were a cop) in a dark blue BMW 330i coupe with lowered suspension. Only one of them got out of the car. I did not get the plates because I only got a good shot at the car before it happened and I went into the back of the store because they looked suspicios to me, it was the smartest move I made the whole day. I hope I am not going to become so paranoid that I would write down license plates preemptively, just in case.

Default I do not think you can avoid it

It was Rt 17 south in Hasbrouck Heights. The idea is that you are at risk anywhere close to a getaway route.

Default I did not want to confront them directly. You are welcome to

do that and make a citizen arrest, I think my newborn baby needs me the way I am now. I did prevent the theft my making it clear that Iwas watching the whole thing and called 911. It is just a car, though...

Yet another reason why NJ & me are not perfect together. I'm allergic to the state... no offense to any NJ-ites.
