I had a couple codes trip for an oxygen sensor and catalytic converter bank 2. A couple expensive repairs. Taking a long shot, and probably due anyway at 99K, I am going to use either BG44K, Red Line S1-1, or Seafoam injector/engine cleaner. Some had said that the S1-1 has 30-50% PolyEther Amine in it and that BG44K used to but doesn't anymore. The two sides of the coin are maybe they thought that chemical was too harsh but evidently works.
A mechanic I know also recommends a 9 bottle treatment, 3 per tank that really cleans things out and then you will need an oil change. Seems like if the oxy sensors are getting grimy a good cleaning might extend life a bit?
Comments? Thanks.

So lets say you dump it in the tank. All the grime and gunk in the tank lifts off and get clogged in the fuel filter, anything in the fuel filter is then lifted off and gets stuck in the injectors anything from there goes right back in the tank.
The proper way to clean an injector is ultrasonic. Other than that just change the fuel filter.
I would try and change your o2's before you replace a cat. A cat just does not go bad. Something else has to be wrong with the car for a cat to fail. Zoldman has some great O2 deals.
Hope that helps
