Fuel Trim - System running LEAN. Is it the MAF?

Would a bad MAF cause the car to run rich or lean? I don't want to spend $200+ and realize the MAF was not the cause for my car to run lean.

Don't know the exact code numbers....

But it said something like...

fuel trim bank 1, too lean
fuel trim bank 2, too lean

close to that.

Do a search on "too lean maf" "too lean o2" "too lean" - lots of posts on this under s4 - good luck.
