Funny humming sound coming from Rear Differential? Is this a problem? Also...
the rear diff was leaking and I had the dealer check it out...they just replaced the gasket/o-ring? and now its not leaking anymore. Maybe i may be running low on fluid?

Maybe it is bored from all that idling? Seriously though...
I did not think there was anything in the rear diff that could make noise while the car was not in motion. The fuel pump is in that area. Maybe it is not happy.
