Do you have the 2d monitoring display too?

That component is not in stock but can be ordered.

Default Question: What should the triggering voltage be on the boost sensor on the 1s kit?

My pump is not activating (after doing so initially). It has good power supply. The boost sensor trigger switch outputs ~9v when triggered. I'm wondering if that 9v is not enough to activate the pump. Should it be outputting 12v instead?

BTW, on the jet sizing table, can you simply double the flow per minute when using a pair of equal-sized jets, as is the common application in the S4? I put in a pair of 0.4mm jets with the race pump after thinking I was getting too much water with a pair of 0.5mm jets and the race pump. Of course now with the pump not activating I get nothing.

Default Some answers.

Are you using the 1s or 2d?

If using the 1s, you don't have the high-speed valve (making troubleshooting easier). For the 1s, you simply have the pressure switch getting power and ground via the pump's electrical connector. Make sure the pump itself has a strong power voltage. It should be near 13.8v at the pump with the engine running. Make sure you have a good pump ground connection too. You'll have issues if you don't have those two figured out. I use a key-on 12v power source under the dash (i.e. terminal 75x) and a good clean chassis ground to bare metal. Make sure the 15A fuse that's between the supplied voltage relay and the pump isn't blown. The switch is a normally closed type. Once the pressure reaches the set threshold, it enables the pump to work it's magic.

Have you adjusted the onset point on the pressure switch? It's calibrated to activate at 10psi right out of the box.

Regarding the jet questions: I don't fully understand your question about simply doubling flow. With the 1s kit, you have to be careful about using two jets. If you go too large, you'll starve the system and generate cavitaion on the outlet side of the pump. Don't go any larger than 0.5mm twin jets if you do not have a race pump AND an accumulator.

Default I turned the onset point on the pressure switch way down when the pump quit working...

...just to make sure the pressure switch was telling the pump to turn "on". So, I set it down to probably 5psi for this testing. As boost would ramp up, voltage from the pressure switch would ramp up to ~9v, which I assumed should have successfully passed through the voltage relay and triggered the pump, but the pump no longer activates.

Also, about your cavitation comment -- I wonder if my pump was always doing that even when it was working. It's the higher pressure race pump and I mounted it up behind the firewall under the pollen filter next to the battery. It was impossible to get the lines 100% primed with water in that location, but at one point it was successfully drawing water from the reservoir and injecting it into the intake. In that behind the firewall location with a direct mount onto the metal the pump was loud as hell in the cabin when it activated. Now it's no longer doing that, but it's not spraying any water either. It is the 1s system BTW.

My point about using 2 jets was that the charts show a given flow rate for each pump and a jet connected to it. By connecting 2 jets to the same pump, can you simply double the flow rate? Of course, you can't use the bigger jets, but I wouldn't consider using bigger than twin 0.5mm's on the race pump anyway.

Default I might be interested in trading my .4s for your .5s

email me if you are intersted.

I've got a set of both 0.4s and 0.5s already, and want to keep both.
