Default FYI: Regaurdless of what Fletcher says, the RS4 air box is NOT the same size as the S4 airbox.

You can litteraly fit the stock MAF inside the outlet for the RS4 airbox. So those of you that are doing the intake mods might not see such a dramatic increase due to the restriction of the stock MAF and Y-pipe. I would like to see someone come out with an RS4 intake conversion for stage II cars.

I'd like to see the vaccuum controlled extra inlet operational via ECU rather than ziptie.

Default On the stage III cars the g/sec are maxed out at 364....

I live at 8-9k feet, so mine went from about 280 to 320 at stage -III with blitz's mod on a stock air box. My intake temps are pretty worthless, because it never gets above 50 degrees here.
I haven't had a chance to test out a "darin" airbox with stage III and an RS4 airbox because my engine kinda blew up, but hopefully by the end of the month I can start playing with it again.

Default I think you misinterpretted what Eric said. I have had the RS4 airbox in my possession.

and it's the same size & shape as the Stock S4 airbox. The difference is in the diameter of the MAF and connector. The BOX is the same size and as a result, uses the same paper airfiter.

I think you are misinterpretting what Eric said. The MAF is larger in diameter, but the box is the same size/shape.

Default He made it sound like there were exactly the same.....

Which is not true. The box itself is the same, but the outlet is not.
