Default Funny how marketing and distribution convenience takes precendent...

There's a very good reason why G12+ has replaced G12. :-/

Default I thought G12 was not so hot to use because it corroded your cooling system.

Or some story like that.

Default yeah - something does not add up with what ECS says on thier website... I posted this and they...

never replied. I ordered from Impex and recieved the right stuff today. I am not 100% sure but I am pretty confident that G12+ is not availible in gallon jugs - just 1.5.

anyone know this for sure?<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2245863.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2245863.phtml</a</li></ul>

Default That is the G12+. The two pictures Mark P posted are BOTH G12+, just different size containers...

Dude - it's the same Mountain Dew in the 12 oz can and the 2 litre jug. The part number is the same, the suffix indicates the bottle size.

I have a bottle of the gallon jug at home and it is the G12+ for sure. That 1.5L size bottle doesn't seem to be carried by anyone anymore. You're good to go!

The gallon jug of plain G12 has a "Z" in the part number. Both your photos are G12+ !

G12+ part no. = G 012 A8F, the A4 or M1 are size indications. ZVW 237 G12 is the old G12 pink stuff!

Default How sure are you of this? I only ask because I have a gallon jug of the same stuff pictured by MarkP

that I purchased in Dec 2003 with the same PN as what you claim to be G12+. It was also def pink.

Default Just looked up on 1stvwparts website . . . "M1" was superceded by "A4"

could it be that all G12 sold now is merely G12+ with pink dye instead of purple? Would explain a lot of things.

Default I can't be 100% sure because I never purchased one of the 1.5L bottles, but look at the part numbers

in Mark P's post, BOTH bottles say "G 012 A8F" on them, only the small bottle is followed by M1 and the gal jug has the A4 suffix. Has to be the same stuff, per VAG's part numbering system.
