Default Gauge cluster swap
Need some help with a gauge cluster swap from a 2001.5 to a 2000 using vag com. Does the licensed program need to be bought or can it be done with the free software. The 2001.5 has more mileage so the mileage need to be changed. Where can I get the software. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default You have to buy the software/cable here...
Though, you can't change the mileage if the new cluster has over 62 miles (100 km) on it.<ul><li><a href="http://www.ross-tech.com">www.ross-tech.com</a></li></ul>

Default Kinda. I hear that there are some places that can change the mileage. Contact
Ross-tech. They might have a lead for you.

from what i know the mileage can only be turned forward

Default IIRC Only NEW clusters can have the mileage set. 99% sure you cannot "turn back" the miles...
