you seem like k03's would be a good choice for now.

Default huh? ya they are ok but planning for something better...not sure what wanting to get rods for a

stronger motor has to do with k03's being a good choice but, OK.

Default sorry, just seems like you haven't done much looking around by the questions your asking. Rods are..

good, if you want more then K04 power levels but the cost gets up there when you go for more and chances are at K04 power with a good tune you will rarely ever cross paths with another car that can keep up so, is it worth it? I am doing RS6 turbo's next, not for more power but in hopes to make the same power without pushing the engine so hard for track use.

Default Cool. it seems like I already knew the answers to my questions and was just getting confirmation.

before I posted anything today, I knew I wanted RS6's w/ rods and a conservative tune for pump and something more aggressive for race. Without mentioning that, I pretty much got the same answer as what I was thinking. Sorry if it seemed like too many questions but I like to be very clear when it comes to things like this and it threw me off when he mentioned you HAVE to get RS6's if you get rods, which is technically incorrect. It definitely sounds worth it to me. Thanks though.

This is well put. Modding is always a compromise.

Default 400 whp, daily driver, maybe one or two track events a year.

My passenger side K04 is sounding like a siren after 2k miles. It's nothing to get nervous about, but after a year or so I would like to do something other than PJ K04s. The 997 seemed like a good option as I already have the K04s and I'm not looking to upgrade the internals.

For now I'm just trying to get as smart as possible with these cars
