Default Getting a little worried!>>>>

My father inlaw just found out that his S4 was stollen this morning and they have yet to find it. This seems to be happening alot lately and I'm becoming uneasy on how it seems to be very common for thieves to steal these cars. Does anyone trust the factory alarm? I've been thinking about an after market alarm and maybe a clutch lock for my avant. What type of after market alarm, if any, do you people have. Recommend any??? Thanks!

Alarm, what alarm?! You can barely hear it. Stock alarm sucks!

Default WOW, what a novel Idea, Insurance! In that case I'll leave the doors unlocked and keys inside>

I'd rather have my fun driving S4 than insurance money.

Default A fuel pump cut off switch works wonders...

...unless the thief has a flatbed in which case you can kiss your S4 goodbye.

Default Anything missing from it? My buddy in Newark say they are taking a lot for "joy rides"

But others are stripping them. 2.7 Bi-Turbo motors are now on the Black market for 1500-2500 bucks. Believe that ****? Unbelievable. One of the things why I liked the Audi was because I didn't think that they were "wanted". Honda's and other Jap cars I thought were the cars to stay away from. NOT!

Default I've been trying to get APR to make a "kill" program....

So that you need to enter the code within 30 seconds of powering up the car, otherwise, it kills the ignition. Talked to Frank, and it's very possible, as EVERYTHING is controlled by the ecu. Unless they came packing with a spare, they would be dead on the road....

It would need to be in the first slot, so that if they disconnected the battery, it would default to the "kill" program....

Any thoughts?

Why have insurance if you're going to worry about your car all the time
