Getting through traffic at 70mph, downshift to 3rd for some antics, mash the throttle and...

...I take off leaving a smokescreen behind me. Think this AWE K04 fueling kit might be running a tad rich???

Some black smoke is normal under full throttle.
Can you quantify "smoke screen"? Clouds of black smoke is not normal.
Check datablock 032 for long term fuel trim and let me know what it is.
Have you updated your coolant temp sensor?

...the sunlight was just right so I really noticed it that time. Might have been that I hadn't run the motor full throttle in the higher rpms for a few days. Later on, I tried doing some WOT 5k-6k blasts in 2nd gear and noticed no excess smoke (although I'd bet if someone were sucking my tailpipes during the time, they'd probably notice some).
As for quantifying the amount of smoke, on a 10 point scale, with "10" being a racecar losing a motor in a massive failure on the racetrack and a "1" being water vapor burning off right while idling on a cold morning, I'd say this was a "4". My dad used to have a 1985 Jaguar XJ-S. It would garner about a "3.5" on the same scale when flooring it at 70mph.

Are you sure that your coolant temp sensor is the latest part number:
059919501A
Sounds like you are having some large trim adjustments, given that the smoke was only present upon initial WOT, which is not necessarily normal with our kit if the car is 100% sound.

Most noticable when railing 2nd (or 3rd) all the way out and then shifting to 3rd (or 4th), hard - I'll get a decent-sized puff of smoke out the back - enough to make things cloudy, or to make headlights hazy for a few seconds. Definately not a "small" puff.
I have the updated coolant temp sensor (replaced it maybe 6-8mo ago)
I'll give you an reading from 032 shortly...
