Yes, if you have a socketed GIAC program you would get credit for the $595 original chip cost

Default Yeah, same issue with APR EMCS. If you tweak for a certain program it applies to all programs...
becuase it is kept in the ECU adaptation registers, separate from any programming tables.

Default So if you sent in your socketed X chip, you could get a flashed X chip for $50?
$50 being the cost of the stock chip. Am I understanding this incorrectly?

Default Will we be able to upload files from a pc to the flashloader? There are quite a few
"performance" programs to be tested sometimes and that would be quite handy. Also can we use another program in place of the "stock" useless code?

Default Does this work for Stage 3 stuff or is it just X chip?
Still trying to learn about the different chips and codes. X Chip/ Stage 3/ Matrix all that stuff.... I'm just lowly mtm...

Default technically yes, but you'd still have a socketed X chip...
i would think the purpose for switching from socket to flash would be to add programs.
