Default Giac installed - VAG log results - Questions

Hi All,

Installed a Giac chip (other mods = borla exhaust and hole in air box).

Did a log of 003 :

Q- It seesm that the car is over boosting and then backing off then gettign back on.. (same with throttle it doesn't stay at 100% at 3500 rpm it drops off and then back up t0 100%

It spikes to 1.5 bar and then backs off and on and off etc.. I know this is normal for giac chip but my car seems to be slower than what it was below 3000 rpm, any sugesstions?

Default been where you are

slower in the lower RPM's is normal. when i first installed the GIAC it didnt do that but as i drove it a few hundred miles it started to. i searched and searched and replaced and replaced things and have no idea what the deal was/is. what i have come up with is this.....the car didnt do it right off because the new programmed wasnt "learned" by my car and the smooth pull before it got learned was actually constantly the lesser of the two "surging" boost levels. but yes, 1.5 bar (around 21psi) is too high. make sure the N75 vlave is not the "race" valve possibly installed by a previous owner. could be that simple. thats just a suggestion.

Default Your graph looks like a 2-year old's drawing on an Etch-a-sketch. You are asking about boost

yet show only airflow and timing? You need to log block 115 to help us answer your question.

Second, RPM should be on the X-axis, not the time increment.

Default Ok Sorry didn't have enough time and space to do boost logs but:

Is it normal for the MAF to have a few kinks in it?

Boost was recorded on my defi gauge so will have to do another proper run and log through 115.

Also why would the throttle angle not stay at 100% during WOT?

Cheers

Rob
