Default It's very easy to do with Lemmiwinks. You just reduce SEL scaling.

The reason I prefer MBC in parallel is that in this setup, the MBC will only *change* the initial boost spike. When you reduce SEL scaling, the entire boost map is changed (requested boost moves down).

It is very easy and very safe. You can even log block 115 before/after to compare requested boost.

Default Well, the problem is you'd be lowering the entire curve with an N75 duty change...

You can't lemmi off the top of an overboost curve. BUT you can MBC it off

Also, the most serious K03 chipped spikes (ones that lead to instasplode) don't happen every time you prod the pedal. You could set your MBC to 17.5psi and it might only actuate once a week or so! I suggest between 16-17# for best timing, though.

Default can't I *just* install a MBC in parallel, set it to ~16 and say f'k it??

safer + less f'king w/**** = better

Default To be honest, reducing SEL scaling is about 5,000 times easier....IMO.

With that said, I prefer MBC in parallel because of what Mike and I have explained here with it reducing the entire boost curve instead of just the spike.

Default I see. So I guess it really depends on what your goals in tuning are.

If you don't mind the across the board cut in boost then you could do it the Lemmi way, but to maximize performance, add the MBC.

Default Heh, suit yourself. I think once you saw Lemmiwinks and SEL scaling, you'd understand how easy it is

You are a few computer clicks away from lower boost ;p
