Howdy...
I'm close to chipping for the first time and have it narrowed down to APR or Giac X. I've done some snooping around in the archives, and I've seen mention of the GIAC having boost spikes and the need for a manual boost controller.
I don't know much (just enuff to be dangerous), but would like someone to explain (please)where/how/why these spikes manifest themselves, how dangerous are they to my beloved 2.7TT, and if having a MBC is a PITA. My car is a daily driver, 80K on it.
Thanks,
Earnie

That's cool for everyone else, but I'd prefer to have a more aggressive spool-up with the old X chip and then add a MBC to cap the spike.
It's very easy to add a MBC into the loop to cap spikes, perfectly fine even for daily drivers.
