personally it'd be a tough call for me...if the 2.0T had quattro it'd be hard to turn down...a chipped 2.0T in an A3 would be fairly quick...i dare say it would almost negate the acceleration difference between that an dthe 330...as always the 330 is probably better balanced though it has alo gained weight as th eyars have gone on..

...you probably just take things to the extreme. Once coolant's in the middle, feel free to use WOT, just keep the revs down under about 5500rpms until oil gets up to about 160 or 70. As for cooling down, just take it easy, not using boost for the last about 2 minutes of your drive. Those precautions should be more than adequate to preserve the life of your engine and turbos.
As for things breaking, newer cars have more crap on them that can break that older cars didn't have, and newer car parts are more likely to have a "designed lifespan" of only long enough to get past manufacturers warranty -- that way they're cheaper to manufacture.

I'm talking about my original TB failure that led to my buying that engine with the busted cam. A rock is the only thing I could have thought of that could have done that damage. There was some chalky dust by one of the sprockets too.
