I normally only get to 60mph for two 1/2 to 1 mile sections on the 22 mile drive. Well today I got a few breaks in the traffic along the way and was able to pop off 4 110 blips, then slow back down to under 50. Damn was it fun!!! 45degrees, with a fogged in valley, so no sun. But could see 2+ miles. Opened the moonroof to hear the sweet turbo song, as I would drop to second and pull pull pull. Happy Friday All!

Default Had about 5 people change lanes in front of me...

...when I was doing about 80-85, and they were doing 55-65. That was kind of irritating. But it was kind of rewarding to blow past them in 4th gear once they got around the super slow car they were trying to get around.

Default drove to & parked in Jersey City today, took the train to work coz we're leavin work early today...

it was quite unusual to find Route 3 eastbound (giants stadium area to secaucus area) nice and clear maybe coz it was too damn early so I opened her up to 100-110...that was fun

I have a 2 or 3 mile commute. Sometimes my coolant isn't even warm when I get to work!

I did too. I stumbled in my half sleep state from my bedroom to the espresso machine in the kitchen!

Default A short drive that does not warm the engine up may be harmful...

Because all engines experience some condensation and water build up in the crankcase. in order to get rid of the water you should bring the engine up to operating temprature. many short trips can cause more wear and corrosion in an engine than a good hot run. I'm no chemist but apparently the water can combine with other combustion byproducts and create a corrosive acid. I have a buddy that has a multi-car collection and he hires a kid to drive all his cars every month, just to get them nice and warm.
Just one more thing to worry about. Regards, Tom in Lake Arrowhead Ca.
