Yesterday on 280 South in Los Altos Hills I notice this German looking thing about 1/2 mile back that is gaining on me. As I am doing 80mph+, I figure this guy is moving pretty good. As it gets closer I notice it is an Audi, and as it gets a little closer I see the S emblem. Hmmmm, this could be fun. Of course, at that point we are held up by traffic and he ends up exiting to 85 north. It was white or cream colored.
I think I have seen this car before at about the same time. In fact, my wife cut it off (a gray 3 series wagon) when she was following me to drop my car at the mechanic. We got on at Magdalena and I was supposed to let her follow so I was watching my mirrors. I watched as she kind of pulled in to the #3 lane right in front of the guy. Oh well, she is only 4'10" and when I brought it up she said she honestly didn't see him (horrendous morning sun at the time). If you are here, she is sorry. You are to be commended from not losing your cool and flashing her or something. I was up there just rolling my eyes at her.
I did hit 135mph at 4:00 a.m. on 280 south on the way to work. Between Blaney and Lawrence. There were no cars in sight on either side of the freeway. BTW, the road is silky smooth there.
