Default Go AoA! Gotta love policy changes to protect obviously bad audi dealerships

Nick,

Just to give you a heads up, after January 1st I will no longer be able
to get Audi parts. Audi has put a stop to this because there is a Vw
dealership on the east coast that buys a ton of Audi parts and the local
Audi dealerships have complained, and now they sent a letter to us
saying, if we don't own a Audi franchise(which we don't) they will not
send us any more Audi parts. If you would like to purchase an Audi
specific item please do so before the end of this month. I'm sorry
about this, we are very upset here about the new rule. Take care..

Default Cant you order em as an individual? If they

complain, just tell em you own one of every car they have and they break down alot.

Default I can't order audi parts from any vw dealer unless they also sell audi vehicles.

Which means I can't order _any_ audi specific parts from a VW dealer. It wouldn't be a big problem if some of the best places I've ever dealt with for getting audi parts have been VW dealers.

Larry and the rest of the guys at 1stvwparts have been great to me over the years, more than gone out of their way for me on odd or hard to ship parts. Even with shipping, they are usually the cheapest source to boot. I've spent thousands there. It's a huge loss for me to not have them as a resource on audi parts.

Default AoA hasn't been impressing me, took three tries for the audi parts depot to get an S4 door sill to

1stvwparts without destroying it. They weren't damaged in shipping, they were damaged while being packaged at the parts depot! 1stvwparts noticed the damage and kept sending them back till they got a nice one for me, I didn't have to deal with anything at all, and they kept me up to date on the progress.

I know some places would have sent me damaged goods and made me deal with return shipping and phone hassle.

Default That blows, looks like clusters went back up to $850.

Someone has to pay for a bunch of R&D on race cars for a company that can't build a street car that doesn't fall apart at 75K miles... Really considering something else next.

Default Hmmm, I think I know which dealer buys a ton of parts . . .

Anyways, that seriously blows. Audi dealerships just want to fix prices and sell at above retail. For instance, my audi dealer sells $25/L gear oil for $36/L.

Default Too funny! This has been in circulation for about a month now, FWIW.

But the complaints, and the specifics about an east coast dealer are new.
