Going Stage 3, looking at two options right now

You posted:
"I have a stock engine, and the car has the following mods
Oettinger computer
Samco hoses
Forge diverters
Forge exhaust
3" Forge Downpipes
AWE RS4 Clutch and Aluminum Flywheel
K&N filter
ECS light weight pulleys"
But then your signature says you have coilovers and big brakes.
Ok, then, load it up. I think you'll like either of them. Do consider some other upgraded mounts and such since you'll be putting out about 2x the power OEM mounts were going to see.

that is chipped probably to around 300-315 hp to a set-up that easily gets you to 500-600 hp, and you don't think you're doing any more mods for a while?
How exactly do you plan to keep this thing on the road?
Let's start with brakes and suspension, not to mention the strain your other car parts will be under if you're getting on throttle. You do plan to turn and stop the car at some point, right? Plan on upgrading these.
Things like motor mounts, transmission mounts, rear diff mount, snub mount and whatever else is holding things together will be under stresses they were not meant to see. You'll need upgrades across the board there.
Let's not forget your clutch. RS4 setup is good to what...about 400-450ft-lbs of torque. You'll fry your current clutch setup, especially if you're doing quick starts in gears 1-3.
Myself, I'm going gt25 eliminator or Tial (through 034) when I feel like I'm ready. But that means adding the costs of clutch, brakes, and a few other items to the mix. Frankly, probably the gt25 since it's about $3k less.

The setup I´m looking for with a K04´s on a stock motor is about 400BHP. I do plan on changing all the mounts.
I´m going to do a little research about the Gt25.
Thanks

As you drive your car around consider that if at any point in time you want to really get moving you'll need to be around 4000 rpm on the bigger turbo's. On K04's you'll need to be around 3000 rpm. At which rpm do you find yourself closer to more often. I tend to do my daily driving between 2-3k, which means with K04's I can push the pedal to go faster. With the bigger turbo's it requires down shifting and then getting on the gas. If you're trying to dart around in traffic I find having not needing to down shift a bonus because it saves time. Obviously the appeal of the bigger turbo's is that you get even more power, but for a daily driver K04's are the sweet spot for this car in terms of response and power. My opinion, the car loses the versatility when going to the big turbo's because now it is sluggish at lower rpm's. Not a big deal if you like down shifting into second at 40 mph, but I feel that the K04's are the best match for this car when it is driven routinely on the street, a Stg3 K04 car is very fast.

While I understand the benefits of the K04's vs larger turbos, I'm not quite clear why the tial set up from EPL is cheaper than the AWE/APR K04 kits.
Is there something that the K04 kits include that actually make them better?

As far as the APR kit goes, you get
1) RS4 Airbox
2) RS4 MAF (with Sensor)
3) RS4 Accordion Hose
4) RS4 Y-pipe
5) RS4 Connector Hoses
6) RS4 Turbo inlets
7) RS4 K04 Turbos
8) RS4 Fuel Injectors
9) RS4 Fuel Pump
10) APR Software which includes Stock, 91, 93, 100, 104 octane, Valet, Anti-Theft, Security Lock Out, Throttle Body Adaptation, Fault Code Erase.
With the EPL/TiAL you get:
1) EPL MAF Housing (No Sensor)
2) RS4 Accordion Hose
3) TiAL Hump Hoses
4) TiAL Inlet Pipes w/ DV hoses
5) TiAL Turbos
6) EPL/Bosch Injectors
7) EPL Software, Single Octane on ECU
The EPL kit uses a lot of stock components where the APR kit supplies you with RS4 components.
The APR kit has also gone up in price over time, it used to be about $1500 less than the full kit lists for now.

I think I will opt for the Vast K04 kit.
I do my driving mostly between 2-5 gear and speeds up to 100 MPH normally, so I want somthing to spool quickly and I´m not planning to modify internals.
