You have a knock off manifold fail badly enough that it sucks part of it into the turbo, and you're paying for more than new manifolds.
Besides that, if the knock offs cause you problems, it's another engine pull regardless.
And, as all said, stockers are supporting RS6's without issue, so why reinvent the wheel.

if someone doesn't make (a real) offer on my awe stg3 kit soon..
you can have my like new 6k mile awe tubular manifolds for $500 with AWE downpipe heat shields. They're $2995 new but I won't charge more than $500 because AWE has had had a few of them crack over the years.
They are very nice looking manifolds and I'm not sure what caused a few of them to crack.

I need someone to buy my awe stuff asap.. yea, I need the asp gt kit.:)
My S4 isn't a daily driver so I want to go ***** out this time around. Well, not all the way to gt2871 but the smaller 2860's.
The tial kit is bolt-on to stock manifolds and downpipes, and puts out *very* good numbers but I've decided on the asp gt kit with external wastegates and tubular manifolds, etc. I saw the hardware in person at the last ASP dyno day and the fab quality is top notch.
