Default Good performance tire test by TireRack

All test were done on BMW 325i..so rear wheel drive with almost 50/50 weight distribution...

I wonder if these results are aplicable to our front heavy all wheel drive cars??

clicky!

Default That seams like a wird choice of tires, they didn't use the top for each brand

I love Yoko's AVS Sprots & db's never had any problems with them. Why not in the test? At least they didn't use the AVS 100

I also had the BFG KDW on my BMW, and it was a awesome all round tire, but they didn't use that one in the test.

It's nice to see that really most tires are really close, and most of us are not good enough drivers to be consistent enough to generate numbers that close.

It would also have been nice to have them rate tire noise @ 60mph, and how loud the tires get when you push them.

I have heard many good comments about the Advan's but the Conti's are what surprised me.

Default Won't argue with the top two, but a Pirelli tyre that grips in the wet? Joke right?

Interesting the top tyres were all hard wearing 280 rated tyres with the Advan being the exception.
