Something just a tad lower and stiffer. I won't be tracking my car and am actually quit happy with the current ride. How would this work if I frequently carry heavy loads (people and ski gear). I don't really care about the adjustability of a coilover kit. I just want something a little stiffer and a tad lower without breaking my pocket book.

http ://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250195109134</a

then u can also get the CO conversion kit from ECS and have fully adjustable suspension...in case it comes out too low or too high.

http://ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi?make=Audi&engi

I have the shine racing setup: revalved bilsteins and 500 lb springs. Slightly lower than stock, but much stiffer, but not overly harsh. Just had parents and grandparents out for thanksgiving and had nothing but positive comments about the ride, even on boston's crappy roads.

Bilstein write-up

my ride enough significantly, but I do have to take ramps at an angle and occasionally rub my RS4 front bumper as well as the flex joints on the down pipes when going over tall speed bumps etc. I would highly recommend getting the ECS coilover conversion when going with this setup.
